The Chamber Store

For many visitors and newcomers, the Chamber is the front door to Austin. We answer more than 12,000 queries a month, by telephone, e-mail or face to face. We provide maps, guides, videos, and relocation packets to those planning a move.

For businesses, we provide targeted lists of the more than 6,000 businesses in our data bases in print, electronic or label format. We publish extensive business directories, in addition to the annual Membership Directory and Buyer's Guide and an Austin Regional Overview . Newsletters

To keep our members informed, the Chamber publishes several newsletters and department specific electronic flyers. Member V.O.I.C.E. is a print newsletter published 10 times per year with a distribution of 3,500 each issue. Electronic newsletters include, @theChamber, distributed weekly to more than 14,000 subscribers, Tech Bytes, News from the Human Capital, a monthly newsletter providing a chronicle of happenings in Austin's tech community and Small Business Pulse, news and resources for small businesses. With two newsletters, several popular guides to the Austin area and the Relocation Package Sponsorship Program, there are many ways to get the word out about your product or service.

The Advertisers Packet
—Provides information on costs and size for Member V.O.I.C.E. and @theChamber ad placement.
The Relocation Package Sponsorship Program—Chamber members have the benefit of placing their own marketing piece in each Relocation Package we send to potential newcomers to the Austin area.

Chamber Map Project—Accurate, user-friendly maps are a popular item for our newcomers, potential commercial relocation candidates and even our lifelong residents. Communications Council

The goal of the Communications Council is to support Chamber communications activities, promote the Chamber brand and promote the Greater Austin area as the place to locate or expand a business. Volunteers on the council advise the Chamber on all communications matters, including media relations, public relations, member communications and the Chamber website. The Communications Council meets bi-monthly from January to December.

2009 Priority Issues
  • Improve communications about Chamber opportunities, programs and initiatives to members and the community.
  • Promote Opportunity Austin successes and the Human Capital brand on a regional, national and global level to continue to strengthen a diversifi ed economy.
  • Inform and educate members and the community on initiatives set forth by the Education and Public Policy departments.
  • Increase Chamber partnerships to raise awareness and offer additional opportunities to members.
  • Redesign Chamber publications and web sites to better serve members, and add benefi ts and opportunities for members.
