Launches New Website Aimed at
Recruiting Technology to Austin
The Greater Austin Chamber announces the creation and launch of www.austinhumancapital.com, a website aimed at recruiting technology talent to the Austin region. This website contains detailed information on the technology industry in Austin, fundraising sources for investors and venture capitalists, local and state resources for businesses and statistical information on living in Austin. This website is a tool that technology companies and executive search firms can refer c-level executives to that shows the depth of technology in Austin, the area’s lifestyle and other amenities. “The new Human Capital website is an ‘all-in-one’ resource for entrepreneurs and tech executives contemplating a move to Austin,” said Scott Uhrig, Partner at Whiterock Partners. “Never before has there been a single site that provides such comprehensive information on Austin’s burgeoning tech sector.” In order for the tech industry in Austin to be successful, start-up companies and rapidly emerging companies are essential. This region has the talent to create the solutions, but the need lies in acquiring senior management talent to propel young organizations. The AusTech Alliance is committed to identifying specific gaps in the tech eco-system and applying Chamber resources to filling these gaps. “By focusing upon the entire business eco-system we are able to unite the tech industry and provide an overarching focal point for Austin’s largest single commercial business segment,” said Randy Baker, President and Founder of Tuanis Technology and the Chamber’s Vice-Chair of Technology. “We are accomplishing this through a collaborative approach which includes existing tech related organizations, business leaders, and tech vertical group leaders.” Baker leads the Chamber’s AusTech Alliance which is working to create a shared vision on the future of Austin’s technology community. The AusTech Alliance is accomplishing this by:
In its first 90 days of operation, the AusTech Alliance has attracted more than 30 tech leaders, created an Executive Liaison program to assist visiting tech leaders, and continues to focus on a local and state legislative agenda. |
