Texas Gas Service is the largest natural gas distribution company in the Austin metropolitan area, serving over 190,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers with safe, reliable and economical natural gas. We serve Austin, Travis County, parts of Williamson County, and nearby Lockhart. In 2004 TGS began serving Hays County.

Texas Gas Service (“TGS”) serves a total of 560,000 customers in Texas and is headquartered in Austin. TGS began providing natural gas service in Texas in 1929. Currently, TGS provides service to customers in Austin, El Paso, the Rio Grande Valley, the Gulf Coast and other communities.

TGS is a division of ONEOK, Inc., a diversified energy company involved primarily in oil and gas production, natural gas processing, gathering, storage and transmission primarily in the mid-continent areas of the United States. ONEOK is the largest natural gas distributor in Kansas and Oklahoma, and the third largest in Texas.

Natural gas is the safest, most reliable and economical way to heat homes and water, to cook, and dry clothes. In addition, natural gas has many advantages as a fuel for commercial or industrial uses.
